Well, I joined this forum over 2 years ago when I started my exercise and routines to try to be a healthier person. Soon after that though I got a girlfriend and my routine went down the drain, along with no longer being able to afford healthy foods. Tons of starving and 1-2 meals a day didn't help me much. So after those 2 years, I have noticed that my gut got a bit bigger and some of my pants don't fit anymore. Haha, that's such a girl thing to say, but heck it's true.
First of all, I'm 26, 155lbs, 5'9"... I calculated my BMR to be 1731.15, does that sound right?
So here's my plan, any advice and feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Oatmeal + Milk = Breakfast. 6am
Hard boiled Egg = First break at work. 9am
Salad of some sort = Lunch. 12pm
Granola Bar = Second break at work. 2pm
Veggies + Chicken = Dinner. 5-6pm
Some kind of Fruit = Snack. 9pm
Not sure if that's spread out well or not, I think it seems pretty good. If you have any recommendations on variety of foods that are good for me, I'm totally open to that. Sadly though, my body sucks and I'm allergic to a lot of raw fruits and vegetables. I know I still have to calculate calories and all that stuff though too right?
Now for a work out routine. My friend recommended that I do Stamina Yoga to start out with. I went through it today as my first time ever doing yoga and it wasn't too bad. I think I could probably manage to do this every day. If I'm not too lazy, I can probably do this before and after work, so twice a day every day. Doesn't seem to be like strength training where you need to rest, unless I'm wrong about that one.
For the rest of my work out routine, I'm a little lost on what I should do. I do own a pull-up bar and a few dumbbells. Any recommendation on what else I could do? I enjoyed biking but I no longer own a bike. I kind of hate running and my back kills me after every time I do it for a long period of time.
So yeah, feedback, recommendations, and opinions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
