Hello folks!

I'm almost 18 years old.
I weight approximatley 370lbs and I'm nearly 5'8".
I suffer from severe depression, anxiety, OCD, Schizophrenia and insomnia.
I'm here to help myself lose almost 250ishlbs [if not more] & record my plans, thoughts, ideas, etc.
A photo of me is attached!

Daily
Be up at 8:00AM
Take meridia, birth control, and eat two whole wheat pieces of toast with low-calorie peanut butter and a glass of milk.
Bottle of water, dog on leash, MP3 player, go for a walk lasting no less than an hour in length.
Return home around 10:30AM and take a shower.
Between 11:15AM and noon, do free activities such as read, clean bedroom, watch TV/surf the internet/write in weight-loss diary.
At noon, prepare a low-calorie lunch with a glass of milk.
[I will record my daily meals]
After consuming lunch, go for another walk, again, lasting no less than an hour in length. Make sure to bring dog, bottle of water, and MP3 player - it makes time go by quicker! :)
Come home no later than 1:30PM and take another shower [sweating makes people smell!]
Prepare small snacks for myself such as a salad with low-calorie/fat salad dressing, and or water sauble vegetables and fruits.
Come supper time, instead of grabbing a larger plater, downsize to a medium plate and take less proportions of everything being served.Drink a glass of milk or two with dinner.
Once again, go for another walk, this time lasting less than an hour.
Be inside my home by 7:00PM - no later! [Since I am young]
-RELAX until bedtime - no later than 11:30PM!!

I'm hoping to consume anywhere betwen 2100-2350 calories a day at first, and then downsizing that to 1900calories daily.
I'm hoping to completley replace white pastas, breads, etc with WHOLE WHEAT.
I've already completley cut out fast food. It's exercise and diet I seem to have issues with.

Sunday's will be my only day off.
I hate this.I've been struggling since I was about 7 years old.
I really want to be beautiful... :(

- Update later!

Hi and welcome to your diary and to the WLF!

Like Chendo says - I don't think you want to lose 300 pounds either - 70 pound weaklings are called that for a reason ;)

I'm sure somewhere in there is a typo.

I really, really, really, strongly suggest to rethink your calories. Cutting calories too low (and 1200-1400 is too low) has a lot of ramifications. Yes, you'll lose weight with the calories that low, but for how long? There will come a time when that becomes your maintenance calories, and you really don't want that.

Talk to Steve his diary is A Journey Not a Destination, or post to the Harsh Truth section if you'd like input.

That being said, you CAN lose this weight - we're all here doing it :D

Again, welcome,

Breakfast: 6:45AM
1 cup of Kelloggs Rice Krispies - 100 calories
1/2 cup of 1% milk - 70calories (I think - that's what the side of the box said it'd be if I mixed 1 cup of cereal with 1/2 cup of milk)
2 pieces of homemade bread/toast [whole wheat] - 256 calories
2 tablespoons of peanut butter [1 tablespoon on each piece of toast] - 200 calories
1 banana - 90 calories
1 glass of milk - 26 calories

Total breakfast calories - 742

Week One
Weekly, I plan to take one-three pictures of me. A side photo, a front photo, and a photo from the back. So far, I have one, taken yesterday - March 18, from the side. Please save the negativity, this is not an easy task for me to do.. :(

Clearly, in this photo, we see where most of my problems are! The torso area. However, not for long! I'm going to be focusing A LOT on everything. I CAN & WILL do this!

No negativity here... we all know how tough it is... :)

I suffer from severe depression, anxiety, OCD, Schizophrenia and insomnia.
are you getting medical treatment for any of the above conditions and are you medicating for them

My starting weight was a bit higher than yours is and i'm only about an inch taller than you -- 10 months later, I'm down 135lbs with still a ways to go but it's getting there - so if you keep focussed and keep your eye on your goal - yu will get to your goal... Have faith in yourself and you can achieve anything...

If I could make a suggestion on your breakfast - switch out the rice cripsies for a higher fiber cereal - it will keep you fuller longer and does more for your body...

have yourself a great rest of the day... :) think positive thoughts

Yes, I am being medicated for all of them.
And thank you SO much. You've done so well by the sounds of it!
Any tips? :D

Would Wheaties be good?
And according to fitday, I calculated my calories wrong.
According to them, I had noy quite 515calories. Hm.

Thanks! You too! :)

ILooking up the nutrtion info for wheaties

Wheat Whole, Sugar, Salt, Corn Syrup, Soybean(s) Oil Partially Hydrogenated, Sugar Brown Syrup, Natural Flavoring, Trisodium Phosphate, BHT, Zinc, Iron (Ferrous Sulfate), Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B1, Vitamin A (Retinol Palmitate), Vitamin D, Vitamin B12

the calories are good but the corn syrup would make me pass on it - but that could be my personal choice..

reading labels in the grocery store will become a new hobby - least it is for me :) and certain things i'll put back just because of the ingredients in it...

It looks like, from now on, I will be accompanying my parents in grocery shopping. I should, anyways. Mom said if I make out my own little grocery list, she'd get me what was on it - and I could go my own way. So, I think that is what I'm going to do. I think I'll make a grocery list and post it here for suggestions!

hello and welcome!

you are getting some great advice from the wonderful people here! they are all so motivating and help me see that it CAN be done!

you can and will do this!! :)

What about Kellogs special k? mm the strawberry one.. I really like that one and it is also wheat. Im not sure if it would have cornsyrup in there..maybe someone else will know. Are you sure you calculated the calories for the bread? It looks on the pic, as if it was 2 halves, that shouldnt have around 250 calories.. Just wondering.. Well it looks like you're having a positive attitude towards your new lifestyle. I'll be here to check on you :) Good luck!

~JO~

Looks like you have a great plan in mind. I am bipolar and have panic attacks with agoraphobia, BPD and OCD...so I know things like this can at times be extra challenging. I think your going shopping with your parents is great.
