Weight loss = depression and fatigue

Every time I start losing weight I become depressed and so lethargic I cannot function at all. The longer I go eating healthy and losing weight the worse it gets. I've tried many diets and "life style changes" with similar results. Exercise seems to make things even worse. It makes no sense at all. Everyone I've ever talked to feels better as they lose weight, eat healthier and exercise. It's the exact opposite for me. Any thoughts or advise would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm desperate. Thank you in advance.
