Weight Loss And Muscle Loss

Alright so I know that if you consume more calories thien you burn you gain weight and if you burn more calories thien you consume you loose weight. If your going to the gym and running and say consume 2500 calories per day and burn 3000 thein u'd more or less loose 3500 calories per week wich is 1lbs per week withought going over and burning muscle. Seems to me it'd take forever doing that to really get to the BF% I want. I'm already not much of an eater. If I just dieted for awhile and lost hella lbs and ran a **** load of fat off and continued to work out at the gym I mean even if I lost muscle mass how much do you really think u'd loose? Instead of trying to loose like 1lbs a week or w/e or have a specific goal what about just looseing a **** load of fat along with some muscle and thien regain that muscle u lost in the gym after you have finished burning the fat you want? I was thinking of doing this but only if I didn't loost "that" much muscle. Does this seem like a bad idea?

Well, any muscle loss is bad IMO.

Slowly but surely. One pound a week is what you should be losing - however, I have been working out quite hard at the gym five days a week, and I cut out junk food and limited my bread intake to two slices of whole wheat a day, and I have lost more than a pound a week.

I think it really depends what your previous lifestyle was.
You can safely lose a little more than the pound a day, just by changing your eating habbit / lifestyle. I am down 20 pounds since June 1st, and have not lost any muscle ( i have actually built a little ). I am down two PANT sizes.

Thats awsome. Yeah well also now that I think about it I dont wan't to loose anymore thien 2 lbs per week. Anymore thien that and your body goes into starvation mode and the food taht you do eat is stored as fat in your body and you become pudgy haha. 2 lbs will probably be just fine for me. Hell i'm 6"0 180lbs so 175lbs even just 5 lbs less thein now i'd probably see a fair ammount of difference.
