Weight Loss Advice

Hi All

I'd like some advice.

I have been dieting for the past year and have lost 60lbs through sureslim () and exercising at the gym every second day for 30-40minutes.

I am getting married March 2006 and would like to lose another 30-40 lbs before this time

Is it possible? Can you please help

First of all congradulations on your success.

I have no training or education in the field of diet, exercise, or nutrition but everyting I have ever read or heard has told me that you should not loose more than about 2 pounds per week. So based on that, if your wedding in in the begining of March you have about ten/eleven weeks left and could shoot for about 20/22 pounds. If it is at the end, you have 14/15 weeks and can shoot for 28/30 pounds.

Having said that, I just posted a story about Adrien Brody who practically locked himself in a room for six weeks and lost 30 pounds.

Can it be done? Yes. Can you do it? Probably. Is it safe and healthy? Not so sure.

Finally, what do you think your furture husband is going to want....for you to "crash diet" to look super thin in your wedding pictures or for you to continue to live a healthy lifestyle, continue to loose those last 30-40 pounds over the next year and then keep it off and look smokin' hot for the rest of your life?

Good luck and God Bless

it is a challenge, thats no doubt, but it can be done (I'm no proffesional nutritionist either). The amount of calories you take in a day is pivotal to how much weight you lose / gain. Get on a health website (don't know one off hand) and work out what your daily calory intacke should be, and work your current one out. To stay healthy it should be gradual (perhaps take in 2/3 or 3/4 calories of what you take usualy).

I know someone who lasted all summer (9 weeks) on riveatas and very thin milkshakes and, even though he must have lost at least 100lb, he was very pale and unwell after it. Just try and work out what calories you should take in to lose however many pounds before the big day.

But still remember to exercise. Exercise (apparantly) accounts for 20% of weight loss. Try aerobic exercise / jogging to help lost weight.
