I'm doing powerlifting competition on March 24th as well. I also am 16 and in tenth grade - 165 weight class. If your rules and regulations are as mine (USA Powerlifting) then you get 3 chances to lift the weight. You can only go up in weight, not down. There are three parts - Bench, Deadlift, and Squat. I would say don't focus on bench, as it is generally the lowest number at these cometitions, relativley. Deadlift is usually the biggest number jump, then squat, and bench. BTW it's not like speed bench, you lower the weight to your chest, hold it there until they give you the ok and you press it up.

Good questions, I'm also interested in this thread. Good luck man!! :D

I wish my school had this. How do you think my numbers would fare up?

Bench- 135x9 (record I set today)
Squat- 170 :)o )
Deadlift- 230

Most people around my town can barely lift a 100 pounds ( mine lift is 195)! Around here they would say: Woah! Look what he's lifting!:D

i would consider eating a lot of carbs before a lifting competition like the night before. like a pasta.
as far as my lifting numbers at 150lbs
bench-225
squat-325
deadlift-225

Pretty weird lift numbers there is something serious up with you deadlift if you can squat more  and your bench is the same.

my deadlift isnt as strong because my hams and lower back isnt as strong as my quads. it was weird i didnt do squats for a year. actually barely any leg work jus playing basketball and my squat went from 185 to 325 i dont know how.
