Weight Lifting and Cardio in the same week?

hi guys i heard somewhere that since i lift that if i do cardio on the days i dont lift i will be burniging of muscle instead of fat. basically i just wanna know if lets say i do cardio for about 30-40 minutes on monday and lift hard on tusday and cardio again on wednesday lift hard on thursday cardio on friday and lift on saturday take maybe sunday and monday off or do cardio on monday will i lose fat and gain mucscle? i mean i konw this may sound wierd but someone on line told me that if u do cardio and lifting so close together u just burn off muscle not fat. also as for supplements i plan to take in around 200g of protein a day and try to eat alot lower fats with more carbs and probably have some l glutamine every night for the nice catabolic effect it gives and take creatine before and after workin out. would this be a good plan? if you guys have any tweaks please share. also waht woudl you reccomend as a good cardio workout?

Doing cardio on your off days is fine. The supplments you listed are a good stack for massbuilding. If you are trying to bulk thou you don't need a lot of cardio but if you want to build muscle and trim down at the sametime do both. The most important factor to protect yourself from lose of muscle is your diet.

thanks for the response and the good info but i dont get what you mean by " The most important factor to protect yourself from lose of muscle is your diet." i maen like what would make me lose muscle if i aint it or didnt eat enough of it???also will the cardio have a negative effect on my creatine? i dont want my money to go to waste.? also you said that my stack was good for massbuilding but i laready have a lot of mass but mostly fat. is there anyway to just turn the fat in to muscle rather then doing cardio to burn it off? or would it just be easier to burn it offf then try to build back up? im sorry just a little confused on what i should do i wanna turn my fat into muscle

No, you're not going to burn muscle unless you're in starvation mode. I'll use the example of Lance Armstrong in the Tour De France-the guy is cycling for hours and hours and hours, etc for days and days and days, etc and he won't be burning protein (muscle) as a fuel source until the last couple days of the tour. Since no one on this board is working out at a constant rate of 12 hours a day, burning muscle is the last thing you'll have to worry about.

Lifting heavy is the best assurance for strength increases while doing heavy cardio and on reduced calories.

so evolution your saying by lifting the way i am and on non lifting days doing cardio and a small cutback on food i willl burn off my gut fat and my pectoral fat? also i have one more question bench pressing burn fat off of my pectorals or just strengthen them? because i feel like my pecs are just all fat.so im trying to figure out if when u workout a muscle does it remove the fat round the muscle or just make the muscle stronger?

You have to go on a calorie deflict to lose weight/fat.

Figure how many calories you need a day

And eat 500cal less daily.

Train hard and do cardio on off days or 8 to 12 hours before or after weight training. There's no secret formula you have to do what you can stick with and monitor to see if its working and adjust if necessary.

Putting good use to that calculator, eh newf?

Just to clarify, you don't "turn fat to muscle." You burn fat and build muscle, you replace fat with muscle, but fat is fat and muscle is muscle. Also, you lose fat everywhere in your body - you cannot "spot reduce." Building your pecs will make them appear more muscular, but it won't reduce the fat there.
