Weight Gain

Was wondering if this is normal;
On Monday the 4th i was weighing in at 123Lbs and after working out and running most of the week(not sunday) Today the 16th i weigh 137Lbs before eating breakfast. is this a normal thing to see when weight training or am i eating too much? My diet hasnt changed except that i cut out sweets unless i really need them(diabetic) oh, and im dinking a protein shake in the morning.
My friend says its muscle weight but i just wanted to double, also my legs are really sore from workout last night and i had a restless night last night, fell asleep like at 3am.
 
its impossible, even with steroids, to gain 14lbs in 12 days.
I suspect multiple problems here:
1. inconsistent manner in weighing yourself (not the same clothes, not the same time of day, not the same scale)
2. a horribly inaccurate scale
3. inconsistent eating and hydration patterns leading to wild swings in water retention
4. weighed in on the 4th with an empty stomach, empty bowels - weighed in on the 16th with undigested food and full bowels/bladder.
