Weight Gain/Working Out

I have been working out for about 1 1/2 years - cardio and weight training. Recently I changed my workout time from the evenings to early morning. I have since put on 5 lbs! I haven't changed anything in my diet. Is this normal? Is there a bigger benefit to working out in the evenings?
It is very frustrating!
 
Routine

The latest research does suggest that working out in the late afternoon or evening has some benefits over early morning workouts (having to do with circadian rhythms). But I really think the weight gain that you have experienced has more to do with the changes to your routine and possible diet than anything else.

I'd give it a while. You likely need to adjust to the new schedule. Also, make sure you are getting enough sleep. There is no doubt about the relationship between sleep loss and weight gain.
