Weight gain with Seroquel??

Hi there.

I'm hoping someone has some experience to share about this.
I'm on Lexapro & Seroquel (mood stabilizer type stuff). I keep gaining weight.
Since I began on this forum I've put on 5 lbs. One of the poss. side effects of the meds IS weight gain. My dr. is away this week so I don't have her to ask. I'd like to quit the med to lose weight & then start up again later. You see, I had 15 lbs still on me from having a baby (19months ago) & now I'm gaining on top of that. I'm not asking "should I quit the med?"...I just want to know other's experience with this type of situation.

i would say the culprit IS seroquel. my sis in law was on it and she reported the same exact thing. she gained like 10 pounds in a month. i wish i could help you out more, but i have never taken it.
