Weight fluctuates. Have you seen the "weigh yourself everyday" thread? You'll see it for yourself there.

This is nothing to worry about and is completely normal. Food intake, water intake, the filling and emptying of bladder, and more all make weight fluctuate throughout the day.

(Example 1- Losing) in the morning I could wake up and weigh myself as 170. Then, after using the bathroom I'll weigh 168. 2lbs lost just from using the bathroom.

It goes the opposite way as you eat of course.
Seriously don't worry about gaining .5 after eating breakfast.

(Example 2- Gaining) I weigh myself in the morning and the scale says I am 140lbs. Then I eat breakfast and weigh myself 3 hours later and now I weigh 141.

You of course will weigh more after eating a meal.

A few things that make you gain weight temporarily in a day:
Salt- can make you hold "water weight"
Food and Drinks - you HAVE to eat of course
No recent bathroom trip- did you #2 ^_^

Emerald is exactly right. Your weight fluctuates all day every day depending on what you're eating and your bathroom habits. Typically, the recommendation is to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, after going to the bathroom, and before eating or drinking anything. Also, weighing yourself every day can lead to much frustration because it's also normal for your weight to fluctuate from day to day. I always recommend weighing yourself maximum once per week.
