Weight loss feels non-existent, but as I look from month to month it is going down about 1-2 lbs. Not much. I don't think I can exercise any more than I have been. My body is getting tighter and leaner despite the numbers. I'm averaging about 1700 calories a day, so not too bad. My eating is pretty clean. I don't eat out hardly at all and I'm not drinking cokes or anything. I have picked up more water due to summer approaching.

I need to mow today, but allergies are really kicking my butt. I talked to a friend last night. Her daughter has the flu. She has allergies also and said that her allergies are worse than the flu. I can attest to that. LOL.

Hey guys/gals just dropping by, glad to see you're doing well @whispers65 with the exercising and eating. I'm not doing too great, my eating has been terrible, I haven't weighed for ages, I would be very surprised if I am not over 250 lbs now, and we've been battling the flu (or possibly covid) in my family. It's got to each of us in turn recently, I have it right now and it's lingering but today is the 1st day I've felt slightly better than the day before, so hopefully it's going. I hope to weigh in soon and get back on track. Not a great couple of months it's been to the start of 2024.

Binged yesterday. Feel really off. Lots of sinus fluid in my ears to where it feels like it is sloshing around. Took a zinc tablet and got some meclizine. See if I feel better.

Just take it one day at a time. Being sick sucks. I'm really sick with allergies or something right now. I feel way off balance, like I have a hangover or something. But hanging in there. You do the same. You know what they say, "put one foot in front of the other"....and well, er, you'll have one foot in front of the other lol. You can do this! You are one of my heroes. No pressure though. How's the programming coming? I'm feeling that "bug" again. I just got a Commodore 64 mini, but every video I see practically shouts out Python. I could do both. I'd like to start with word type games like 'guess a number between 1 and 100', 'hangman', etc and work into a more graphical version. Maybe, do some text adventures. I'd also like to learn another language, although I have trouble speaking my own lol. Still, the desires never go away. Right now, I'm making weight loss and working out as something I do rather than my all encompassing thought 24-7. I'm putting it on autopilot. You do the same. Put the plan in motion and let it take care of itself, while you have some fun doing other things. You can do this!

Thanks, yeh it's 1 step at a time. I'm feeling slightly better again than yesterday so this bug is on the way out thankfully. The programming is going quite well thanks although I've not done any for several days now because of this illness, it's the longest break I've had since I started it last November'ish. I know what you mean about Python, it's the "in thing" nowadays isn't it. I know a bit of it but my project is C#, has to be because the engine is Unity.

My project has very surprisingly gained a little bit of momentum in VR circles, here's a Youtube vid I've done of it :

I've named the app I'm working on TykeAI and hope to be able to make it available to other VR users within 2 or 3 weeks! It will be paid for! Hey if even 1 person pays for it then I consider that a success! It'd be free but the app makes paid for API calls for its AI aspect so I have to cover that. For your project subject, I suggest picking something that interests you, that's what has helped me the most I think. I'm hoping to start exercising this year, you're doing really well keeping yours up. Hope some of it can rub off on me. I weighed in this morning, I'm not as heavy as I thought I would be, probably being ill has made me lose some.

26th Feb - 243.6 lbs

Really nice on the vid. I can't even do stick figures at this point. For some reason on the original message, the link didn't show, but shows above when I did the reply. I copied, edited the tags and poked into google and it found it. I subscribed. I think I'm FunAfter52 on that one. Looks like that vid has a lot of traffic and nice comments. Good job!

Nice on the weight. That's a long way from the 250's like you had thought.

Up a little bit. I drank more water yesterday in anticipation of going out, doing yardwork and sweating and that didn't happen. I need to work on how much water to drink during the summer. I did really well this winter. No leg swelling or dehydration. Supposed to be 90F plus today. Warm tomorrow and then drop back down to normal type temperatures. Ugh, walking was a chore yesterday.

Thx for the sub and compliment, I'm still getting used to some people being interested in what I've been upto, let's see if they're still interested after they've tried it lol! About the stick figures, I'm not much good with graphics either, Unity does all of the heavy lifting for me. I recommend it, you could do any type of game with it tbh, literally anything. Yeh I'm lower than what I expected weight wise but I feel bigger than I have done for a good while now, I feel 250.

I weighed 249.7 when I got on the scale this morning, which doesn't seem right. But, my sister got up and weighed and she was right on. I weighed again and it put me at 245.7, which honestly makes more sense, but I dunno about these scales. These are the 3rd set and they all do about the same. So I went with 248.7 this morning.

How hard is unity to learn? It's supposed to be c# right? I just saw a complete pac-man tutorial for unity on Youtube. I'd like to be able to program those types of games to start with like donkey kong, space invaders, etc.

Temp is supposed to be 72 today now and 55 tomorrow.

It's fairly easy tbh, it's free too (unless you sell a load of your creations). I followed a few very basic intro tutorials on it, there's some good one's on Unity's website, plus lots of stuff on Youtube, then got into the tutorials/docs more focused on what I was interested in. It's C# yes which again isn't too bad, start with the beginner stuff and work your way up. Plus ChatGPT can be a good help.

It's better than giving up. I think I am on about the same number :blush5:
Hope you get better soon, Tom xo
I agree, being an eternal optimist is a good thing imo!

March 1st - 245.2 lbs

I'm aiming to reach low 230's by April 1st! It will be tough to do but I know with a pretty strict diet plan it's possible. I'm holding quite alot of water so losing that will shed weight quickly.
