I'm an overweight high school student, and lately I've really been working hard to lose weight. I'm on an exercise regimen with my trainer, and I never falter there, because it is fun socially and I am seeing results as far as that goes. However, for real weight loss, that's almost entirely diet.
I know so much about diet, I know how to do it, I know the best ways, I know what to eat, what I can eat, and how I can use my weight to my advantage at this early stage in dieting (referring to energy versus carbs). My real problem is that I eat well for breakfast, eat well for lunch, but then when I come home, I find that I suddenly have the will power of a drowning fish when it comes to eating right. I ruin my entire day and gain weight because I eat junk, and it's almost like I can't help it. No matter how hard I try, I can't fight my terrible nighttime will power.
I'm not entirely sure how to word the question, but I guess the best way would be to ask how I can stay motivated the entire day as opposed to losing it all after 3:00 and giving in? Are there mind tricks to assist motivation, or some other way? Or maybe somehow to make healthy dinners more appealing than the junk? I need to fix this now, while I'm young, before it becomes a huge burden when I'm older.
