I've never really did hard workouts or cardio training. I'm 23 years old, about 6'1" and last week i was 234lbs. I just signed up for the gym a week ago and I want to lose about 30-40lbs by May. Today I weighed in at about 231.5lbs after the gym. I've been doing the treadmill and elliptical almost every day except 1 day for an hour. Am I on the right track to lose the weight I'm looking for? I've cut out soda and drink a lot of water every day. I've cut out fast food and been trying to eat salads, grilled steak/chicken and some vegetables. Just need to know if I'm on the right track and if anyone has advice let me know so I can better my chances.
