Want a slightly bigger waist

Hi. I would like to know if there are any good excercise to expanding my waist a little. I know that everyone wants to have a small waist to achieve that V-shaped body but my waist is so ridiculously small. I was thinking of doing side bends but I'm not too sure whether its a good idea. Im afraid my obliques might get too big and out of shape. Is it a good idea to try and do some excercise to expand waist a little now or will it get big on its own?
 
I've read that side bends are good as long as you hold the bells above your head and when you bend you one bend slightly and don't allow any type of a twist. If you twist you are going to hurt your back.

As for the bulking your waist, I'm not sure. This is a lot of body building than weight training but the forums don't really seem to have any difference.

I would say that eventually, with compound lifts like deadlifts and squats, your midsection will thicken out.
