Walking to get fit

the majority of your weight loss will come from calorie control. You could walk 50 miles a day, but if you're eating more than you're burning, you won't see any weigh loss.

So, main questions, have you been controlling your calories? and.. after a week or two of walking, are you losing weight? if so great, you're walking enough

you might want to ad some cardio exercises if your results arnt satisfactory. my brother lost a ton of weight bike riding up and down big bluffs and hills. he was burning so many calories doing that that he didnt even lower his calories, he mighta started eating more actually. i think he lost 50 pounds. he was doing it just for fun too.

Walking is definitely a good exercise and i am usually try to have at least 30 mins to spend walking in the morning. Everyone should at least have some walk on a regular basis.

It certainly depends on your caloric intake, but also on how fast you walk. If you aren't getting your heart rate up, then it's not helping...doesn't everyone walk about 3.5 miles a day just doing normal things around the house or at work?

That said, always remember, something is better than nothing.

Is a good distance to loose weight but depends of what you are eating and doing for the rest of the day.

From my oppinion better walk 2 miles and run the other 2.
