Hello everyone I just had a few questions.
Male
Age : 22
Weight 228 pounds
Height 6'3
Goal 200 (body build is that of a football player)
I am 22 years old I been a desk jockey for the past 5 years so I packed on some weight and looking to get it off.
I am moving to my grandparents city so I will be hiking/camping/hunting/fishing with my grandpa so time to shred the weight now that I have motivation.
I am currently walking between 14-28 miles a week.
I do a minimum of 2 miles a night with my dog (helps her arthritics) then few hours later if its not freezing out I will do 2 more miles. For some reason I can't do 4 straight miles in 1 go yet.
Sadly the past 5 days has not only been cold but heavy wind so I have done 16 miles (my "start day" is on Monday)
Am I over doing it? I been at it for about 2 weeks now.
I plan to start doing arms/ab workout 3 times a week starting next week.
The only issue I have is atm I can't eat the way I should.
In the process of moving and with the current prices its expensive to get protein/veggies in my diet.
Would lifting be a waste of time or would it be more so not as fruitful as if I got the recommended protein etc?
Once I move I plan to get my garden going to solve part of my issue.
Thank you.
*edit*
Forgot to mention I am doing 32-35 mins for every 2 miles. So in the ball park of 16-18 min miles. Not sure if that is considered a fast walk or not.
