Kia Ora!!!

2010 is definately my year!!! and i have decided to loose weight permenantly!

I have a very supportive partner, however i can't even begin to imagine telling him how much i weigh.. i freak out at the thought of it!!!! So i have decided to turn to online support and hope to connect with others out there who are making the change to lead a healthy life style :)

Sad fact: My partner proposed to be numerous times, but i kept saying no - secretly i do not want to be a fat bride... but last time he proposed he done it in such a way that it really showed how commited he is to me and how much he cares about me... which is more then i did about myself at the time. So I said yes!!!! and our big days in september.

Im sick of hidding from the camera and not being able to walk into a shop and buy what i want not what i can fit... I'm ready to do something about this!!!

Starting weight: 330 ( January 1 )

Hey, welcome to the forum!

I can understand the feeling of wanting to look your best on your big day. I got married Sept 4, 2009! However, I did the opposite of losing weight before my wedding, lol.

I wish you the best of luck of reaching your wedding goals as well as life goals! I have a diary on here and if you want to talk back and forth feel free to visit me there and also let me know if you create a diary!

I'm with you! I couldn't bear to tell my partner my weight either! Especially since he now weighs 135lbs which is less than me. (When we first dated, he was about 170, and lost ALL that weight without trying a bit. No fair!)

I love the motivation you have! Keep it up, and you'll surely get there!

September is more that 7 months from now, you definitely can do this!!

Mix a good diet, cardio and strength training and you'll be like a magician! The three have to go together in order to see results quick!

It could also be a good idea to include your partner in this journey, after all..he's your partner!

Good luck!!

First of all, congratulations on starting your weight-loss regimen! Most people tend to put it off for so long they never do it.

I have a few suggestions. I started at 260 around the beginning of December, and I've lost 14 pounds in a month doing this. What I did was went online and found a "calories burned per day" calculator, which takes your age, weight, height, and level of activity, and tells you how many calories you burn a day. Then I subtracted 1,000 from that, and that is my limit on calories daily.

Mix your daily limit in with some exercise, and you've got a weight loss plan!

This may or may not work for you. I'm just going by my experiences. Either way, good luck, and don't give up!
