upcoming vacation~help!

I am very lucky and got to plan a last minute trip to Key West. Only problem is it is only 3 weeks away! I've been working hard to change eating habits and exercise but at the same time not go crazy so that I totally quit.

Well now I really want to step it up to get ready. I'm not expecting to lose all my weight or anything, I would just like there to be a noticeable difference. I would love to hear ideas for kicking things up a notch! Unfortunately for me I have a feeling that may include eliminating my nightly wine drinking :blush5:

I'm 5'2" and currently weigh 175lbs. I'm also vegetarian and don't eat eggs. I'm thinking I need to do more of a high protein type thing, but that's always been tough as a vegetarian.

The only thing that works is reducing your calorie count...that includes the wine. Sorry, but that's about all you can do. If you look at your calories eaten during the week via a food diary, you might be able to see where the extra calories might be coming from (wine would be one of them).
 
When I'm trying to kick it up a notch I up my exercise intensity and times that I work out. I would aim to do a morning and evening workout. Strength training every second day. Water, water, water - no alcohol. Also be very strict with your diet - all healthy foods, protein, vegs, and fruit. Also if I'm trying really hard I don't snack after dinner and usually wake up really hungry but it's a good way to drop some pounds fast.
Like Jericho said calories in vs calories out - also be sure to choice good healthy calories because they will fuel your body better and keep you energized for your high intensity workouts.
Another idea is sign up for a personal trainer - sometimes you don't realize how far you can push yourself until someone is yelling at you to do it!
