Hi guys my name is Tyree. I am so excited about being here and I really want to get on the road to losing some of these stubborn pounds. I plan on starting a HIIT routine this week to start with something slow but anything helps to get me off the couch(hey what can I say, the T.V is addictive). My plan is to lose 30-40 pounds. I am currently 188, 5'10 and 24 years old.

I'm not going to lie, My eating habits, need to be revamped in a healthy way!! So here goes nothing guys. First I am going to start running again to start to try and lose some fat fast. Also I wanted to know if it was smart to throw some weight training in the mix too? I've heard that assists the weight loss plan A WHOLE LOT!!! Maybe some of the more experienced guys or gals:) can let me know. I will try and update as much as I can. Wish me luck!!

Here is a before pic hopefully I can get rid of that gut!

Hi Tyree!

Welcome to the WLF family! Am sure you'll find your way around and gettin support for your journey.

HIIT is an intense workout. Not sure what you mean by slow but it's not recommended for those just starting out. Perhaps you mean interval training?

Anyway there are lots of stickies on the forum that providess great info on exercise. So have fun!:)

Thanks for the response. Your right, I've found some great information. I actually google'd HIIT and found a routine that starts with only 4 minutes that gradually increases to 15-20 of jogging-sprinting of 30 sec at a time about 2-3 times a week. Since I haven't worked out in a while I'll try it and see if I get results. thanks again.
