Trying to shrink in Ohio

Hi all, my name is Dany...yes, I'm a girl  and I am here because one day in late January I looked at myself and noticed that I looked like a walrus. Disgusting. So, I joined Weight Watchers with the goal of losing 145 pounds. Here I am, about 5 months later, and I've lost 46.8 pounds, and now exercise everyday (obsessed about the thought of flappy skin), which is a fact that surprises even me. I'm really happy about my progress, and am working hard to keep going. Currently kind of frustrated because my rate of loss has slowed way down, which sucks already, and everyone around me without a weight problem wisely nods their head and tells me I'm in a weight plateau and that things were "bound to slow down." They sound really sanctimonious when they say that. No matter how true, it is still irritating. This is getting to be right up there with "You have a pretty face" on my top 10 list of annoying things that people say. But maybe that is just me. :)

Anyway, I'm excited to be part of this group so I can encourage all of you in your efforts, just as I will be encouraged by you. My thanks to the moderators of the site!
