Hi, I am a 23 yr old female TRYING to lose weight before the bikini season hits. I'm not trying to lose much, just 9-10 lbs. I have never stuck to any diet before or have never stuck to any type of exercise program before, but for the last 6 days I am proud to say that I have actually stuck to something for the first time ever. I have been watching what I eat and I have also been going for at least an hour long walk every day, some days its been close to 2 and a half hours. The walk I do includes 2 very steep hills and the first couple days I felt like I could barely get up them.
I am feeling a little upset today however, my starting weight is 139 lbs and here I am on day 6, still at 139 lbs!!! After a week of watching what I eat, and being more active I thought I would of lost at least a pound... But I am probably not doing anything correct.
Can somebody answer these questions to help me out a little better?
How many calories should I be eating a day to lose some weight? I'm 5'6" if this helps.. and Ive currently started using a stationary bike to increase my cardio, but how long should a cardio session a day be?
