Trying to gain weight and tone up

Alright, so now I was curious as to how I could gain a few extra pounds (5-15) as well as continue to tone my body. I'm 5'10 and weigh 145 and 19 years old. I used to be 160 with very little muscle but since I started working out, I went from 160 down to 130 and then have managed to stay at 145. I have a hard time getting up an appetite so eating has become an issue for me.

I currently take the pre supplement Jack3d along with some whey after workouts. I'm new to supplements so I'm not entirely sure what all I should be taking. If someone could help that'd be very appreciated.

Hi,,,
It's good to know that you ares using Jack3D and Whey.It is good for you in bulking.I used the same in the early period of my training.
You need to spend plenty of time in the Gym say an hour plus in order to gain a good muscles.

I wouldn't take any of that Jack3d garbage or any of the NO crap either. I'd stick with real food and maybe some whey protein. At your age, and as still being basically a beginner, there is no need to be blowing money on other supplements, most of which, by the way, are going to do nothing but empty your wallet.

Eat well, lift hard, get plenty of rest. If you plateau, usually just changing your routine will stimulate more growth at this stage in your training.

Right off the bat, I'd just like to thank the two of you for the quick response. I'm currently taking 100g of Whey with each work out. Is this enough or should I up the dosage? I read that you should take 1-1.7g for each pound you are (minus body fat) so I figured 100 should be enough and I could bump up more if need be. Once again, thanks for the quick reply guys.

You need at least 20 grams of protein post workout to rebuild muscles. I would say you should have your protein shake with you at all times. Take a scoop in the morning, afternoon, and before you go to bed. Make sure you get three meals in you everyday too!

Also, you want to make sure you get your protein between 10-30 minutes after your anaerobic workout is complete, which means you should do all of your cardio first (if you implement cardio into your training)

The supplement is not the worth at all . you need to take food with higher protiens and gym work to get the required weight and as well as muscles .

If your lifting for size only then make most of your sets in the 10-16 rep range, if for just strength then 1-5, or a mix in between or of both styles for a mix of strength and size.

Make sure you get your protein in 1-1.5gs a day in, and get atleast 1.5 gallons of water! Good luck bud!
