Ok so heres the scoop. I am a male, 23 years of age, and in HORRIBLE shape. I am 287 lbs, down from 332 originally. 5'10" and hoping to get down to at least 200 with a solid body.
I have been a fad dieter for years trying all the new things, blah blah blah, only to put the weight on quicker and usually with added weight. I must admit that last year I seen results but did it in such a negative way that I most likely damaged my body. I ate around 400-900 calories a day while taking OXYelite pro and GNC's mega men multi-vitamin, and do p90x, tower 200, and elliptical for an hour (Didnt have a job at the time). I seen AMAZING results! I lost 97 lbs in about 5 months. Then came summer and binge drinking and drunk munchies.. My weight went back up to 294. I made a promise to myself that I'd never damage my body like that, as I wanted to look defined as well as skinnier, not just skinny and still flabby. I started 2 weeks ago on INSANITY. I have never been pushed to such an extreme level before. I got through the fitness test, and the very first actual workout day before I almost had to call into work as my legs would not hold me up for the following week. I am bound and determined to give it another go. Today will be day 3 for me and I can still walk! The human body absolutely amazes me. I wanted to chart my progress and found this site. There are alot of people out there who have had great results with insanity, p90x, as well as every other workout routine out there... The one difference is they were all somewhat fit to begin with. It's so hard to find sites that show results from morbidly obese people and wanted to log my results.
My plan: Insanity workout program, NO DRINKING = NO DRUNK MUNCHIES, Higher protein (carb sensitive) 30/50/20 diet
Supplements: GNC Amp Ripped Vitapak, GNC Pro Performance Amp Wheybolic extreme 60 protein drink
Execution: I work mornings, so I usually do the INSANITY around 5ish. I wake up at 6 each morning, Take the VItapak, eat breakfast which is either an egg sandwich with mustard, or a bowl of special K with skim milk. Lunch is usually a veggie sandwich I make at work, which is the best I can do since I work fast food, or a cup of skim cottage cheese, an apple, and 2 tblspns of peanut butter. Dinner is generally a lean meat sandwich loaded with veggies. Generally chicken breast, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, banana peppers, and mustard. For breakfast the bread is weight watchers low carb, but for dinner, I use brownberry double protein because usually by the end of the day, I am looking for healthy ways to add calories to meet my goals so I dont get into the habit of starving myself again. The supplements I chose, I have a few reasons for doing so. I work in a mall with a GNC located right next door. The gold card gives AMAZING benefits and for 15 dollars a year, is so worth it. GNC's vitapak seems like a complete pack of stuff so I am not left trying to get it everywhere else.
Well I think thats everything. I am going to post up a weekly picture at the end of my journey so everyone can see real results from a real fat guy! Sorry this was probably long and drawn out. But I wanted to record EVERYTHING so that I can look back and know I can do it.
