Little info first... I've was always active from high school to the military, until I got married and then had kids. While I've been able to keep most of the weight of (I weigh 240lb, but I've still got some muscle tone and I have a medium build and I've always been 200+ since high school thanks to football) I've been noticing that I've been putting on a spare tire. Its not bad, but its not me. So i've been riding the old'e bike 3-4 times a week for about 15 minutes (5 miles with heavy duration), but I'm wondering what else can I do to get the pounds off.
I watch what I eat and I admit I cheat some times by getting some fast food. When I do I get the chicken sandwich with just the chicken and an Iced Tea. Though once in a while I get a hamburger. I'd say my calorie intake a day is 2500 or less.
So I plan on sticking with the bike and hopefully I'll be able to hit the basketball courts again, once I get my stamina back. But I'm looking for any tips or suggestions for what I may have missed and also advise about cheating once in awhile, is it ok to do?
Thanks in advance.
