Hello Everyone,

I've tried diet after diet and have failed each and every time. I have been trying to lose weight for probably about two years now and have not been successful. I'm looking to lose forty pounds (for free, I wont pay for diets) but each time I have tried to lose weight i did it all alone and so that is why i'm here to find confidence and motivation during this difficult time.

Welcome to the WLF :)

I just posted in another newcomer's thread that I think the problem with "diets" is that it's fine while you're on it, following it, but once you go "off" you don't know how to maintain the loss, eating the foods you love.

I've found calorie counting really helpful (I never thought I would!) No matter where I am or plan on being in my weightloss journey, I will know about how much my body needs to maintain or lose weight and eat accordingly.

If you haven't already, you might consider checking out http: or they are both free sites that can help you track calories.
