true or false

i'm 13 years old and i started to workout but i'm only 5 foot tall so is it true that working out stunts growth.

Although I dont have any medical proof to back me up i have heard that putting to much muscle while your still growing can do damage to your joints and bones, It would'nt hurt to do a quick search on that and find out.

Swiss, that is simply NOT true. I have pointed out medical proof to the contrary in this very forum (ad nauseum). I will say that until a young body matures, there needs to be little focus on specificity, and strong focus on technique in a general sense before increasing loads.

Man, I think I hear this question everyday. No, as JP said lifting will not stunt your growth. Watch your p enis though. There was a recent study conducted on rats that performed a total body routine based on compound movements a while back. After the rats performed the last set of squats their p enis size started to shrink dramatically. This is also the justification for isolating muscle groups from every angle with isolation exersizes, being that the isolation exersizes do not shink the male p enis as the compounds do.

This is not true. The only way working out can stunt your growth is if you do so with poor form and injure yourself.
