Treadmill belt question (reason i registered)

Hi,
I recently bought a pretty good motorized treadmill.
Its all fine but the belt is causing issues. Basically if i lean to one side or even if i dont run/walk in the centre at all times the belt will move to the left/right.
Adjusting the roller tightness doesnt do much at all, because the belt isnt slipping, its just moving to the sides.
Also when i stop the treadmill and push the belt to the left/right with my hands it moves easily.
Do all treadmills do this?
Btw i bought the mill brand new so there shouldnt be any worn out issues.
Also i am well below the maximum weight it can handle.

Any help please?

What brand/model of treadmill is it?
Is the floor under the treadmill level?

The two adjustment screws at the rear of the treadmill are attached to the roller that is back there. They serve two purposes: To tension the belt so it does not slip (Never over tension it!!). To adjust the tracking, or right to left position. I suggest you follow the instructions in the owners manual for adjusting the belt.

If the floor is not level under the machine, like in most basements, you need to position the treadmill so it is facing either up or down hill. If the treadmill is leaning to one side or the other because of the floor, the belt will run off to the downhill side. It is like when you are walking across the side of a hill, you are pushing off to the side as much as you are pushing yourself forward.
