Training chest and shoulders

Hello!

I'm new here and registered with hope I could get some tips on getting me fitter.
First off I'm a male, 21 years old, 180cm ( something like 5.9' I think?) and 66kg ( google says - 66 kilograms = 145.505093 pounds ) and am eager to get my shoulders and chest better looking, stronger.

The problem is that I have no idea on how to do that. I do pushups and situps on daily basis but I have no idea which exercises are meant for which muscle groups.

So, my question is, are there any particular exercises you could suggest for getting my chest/shoulders in better shape? Any diet to accompany it? I've heard that curd and chicken meat are good when trying to grow muscle size (I'm not talking about taking it to extreme and eat only that :) I've heard it's a good part of daily diet) but how often and what amounts should I consume.
Also, I'm curious, if I am strict with my daily exercises and diet, what would be the time needed for some visible progress?

Thank you for your time! :)

Do you have a gym membership? Go work out at the gym. People there will be willing to help you.

I do agree that Gym is the best place for strength and muscle building where expert trainer would give you ideas how to make you fit and give your body full strength as well . If you have not membership of Gym then you have to get it and start Training over there . I hope you will get the desired results .

I agree, and would do a plan like this:

- Join a gym
- Read on the net, and check youtube for different exercises
- Do a routine for your hole body, that way you will come to look most impressive
- Eat enough protein
- Sleep enough
- Follow your progress, putting your results in a scheme

Good luck

Any pushing forward (pressing) exercise works triceps and chest, situps is for abs (stomach), and what I do for shoulders is hold something heavy (I have 15 pound weights at home) and go from arms down to 180 degrees parallel to ground. Might help, or you can see sixpackshortcuts on Youtube for workouts, just type in a body part or type of exercise and Mike should have something there.
