Trading Up

hey i ve been weight-training and wrestling for about 2 years and ive started boxing instead of it (wrestling). im interested in changing my body from bigger to leaner. i currently stand 5'11" and weigh 200. my goal is around 180 and to get more definition and visible abs. i eat clean but its been relativley hard to eat less. should i switch more to calisthenic workouts or just less weight? i guess my question is how do i change from bigger to leaner?

1) Diet
2) Cardio
3) Diet
4) Weights

Really depends on your BF%, if you are at 8-10% BF currently , you are going to have to drop muscle to lose the weight. If you are at like 15% BF, you can with proper dieting get down to the 10% range and lose 10lbs of fat right there.

Your diet determines where you will go, the cardio/exercise/weights help you get there.

thx, well i figured out i averagely eat between 3000 to 3400 calories a day, so i cut to 2000 to 2400 and count my protein and fat intake aswell, as for cardio i do it daily with sunday as a rest day, my weights/calisthenics are already figured out. so im wondering if cutting my caloric intake like that is beneficial, or if its too much to start with? then again i do wanna lose 20 pounds. btw my bf is around 18%.

Go ahead and cut your calls to about 2400, keep your protein intake up. And make sure you're getting all the good stuff (v & m).. Give it a few weeks, and then if it's taking too long, cut down to 2000. It's all about your diet, cardio is only helping.
