Tracking software

:drooling1:

I was just curious as to if anyone had used or is using a good software for tracking weightloss, calorie/food intake, and or weight and cardio training? I am looking for freeware, but I am willing to pay for it if I need to. I am looking to get back into the gym, I have my paper but I would like to be able to input it in a computer and "See" my results, if you know what I mean. Any advice?

I second fitday. I have the pay version and it is excellent. HAven't tried the free one, but I hear it is good too!

I actually prefer the free fitday. It's online, so you can update it anywhere...plus I found the pay version takes too many liberties in rounding off numbers. I got it then returned it (yes I erased it off my computer)

Th only thing that might make me try it again is that you can combine foods into another food. That would be helpful

Thanks

I did look up the Fitday thing, and it seemed great. SO I BOUGHT IT. Gonna try it for like a month and see if that helps. Thanks for your input guys.

I used the free fitday but settled for an Excel spreadsheet. You can also use the free Open Office if you don't have Excel. I did not like fitday because it did not have the foods I had and I had to keep entering them manually or using incorrect estimations.

With my spreadsheet, its easier for me to obtain all the info i need, draw charts and put in my detailed workouts. My BMI, body fat calculation, waist etc are all generated automatically on the push of a button. My cholesterol levels and other personal details are also on it.

One of the great sites on the net exrx.net has a workout spreadsheet which I incorporated into mine.

I saw that you already bought the fitday program (which is good too btw) but wanted to chime in anyway. I LOVE the calorie king nutrition and exercise manager software. ()
Its a little pricey but definitely worth it.

That's actually the one I've been looking at just because of the sheer size of the food library, but now I'm going to have to take a look at Fitday since everyone is recommending it.

Does anyone know how FitDay's food library stacks up compared to CalorieKing?

How did you get the pay one? I asked the fitday support team and they said it wasnt available outside the U.S

I am actually US military so I am technically IN THE US.

I actually saw this software on line however I am using my Laptop and do not currently have a Handheld device. If I had or bought one I would use it though.
