Too much perspiration??

Since I started my life style change, I've starting drinking relatively large quanity of water before I started eating and leading a healthier life.

When I first started drinking all this excess water, I started pissing like a race horse (great analogy, eh?). Afterwards, I stopped urinating so much, but I found my self excessively sweating, especially when I am doing light cardio at the gym (to the point where my whole shirt is soaking wet...and we are just talking about light cardio here).

Is this a good thing, a bad thing, or normal? I'm just curious. It makes sense that the body tries to maintain homeostatis, and perhaps, it tries to get rid of excess water in the body through sweat glands.
