Too busy to lose weight???? HELP!!!

Hi there other mommies. I am new to the site and am hoping somebody else has suggestions on how to get started to lose weight.

I am a mom of two boys (2 1/2 and 12 months) and gained very little weight while pregnant with either boys. But as I breastfed I gained weight back and am now at my 9 month pregnancy weight again (CW: 149 ;Pre-pregnancy weight 130).

I have been lucky enough to be able to work from home 2 days a week and from the office 1 day a week. The rest of my time I am at home taking care of the kids and the house. Doing all of this leaves me little time to workout and I tend to "forget" to eat during the day. I know I am not supposed to do that, but one would think that by eating only once a day, you wouldn't continue to gain weight.

I am open to any suggestions to work weight loss into a busy schedule.

First of all, you HAVE TO EAT! Prepare cut up fruits and veggies, etc. to take with you if you must, but you need food. And exercise...it's tough, I know. I have to admit, I neglect my house. You are more important; you need to make you healthy and happy. The house should come second to that.

Do you have someone who can watch the kids for even 1/2 hour a day? Or an hour a couple times a week? If not, take the kids for a walk. Do an exercise video while the kids are busy. Do sit-ups while teaching your kids how to count with you. There is a lot you can do, it just takes a little planning, and cooperation from others. :)

You sound busy I wont question that, my saving grace is one of my children is a pre teen but my other one is a tot, and my oldest doesnt help with anything, not even the tot...LOL...not quite 2.5yrs...I am a single full time working mom, my oldest is involved in a touring choir and does 2 other recreational things besides that...Anyway my point is that I always thought I was too busy...I just had to make sure i made the time and made a point of eating and eating properally...and the biggest thing is that the house work can wait...and you can do it around other things...I exercise first and then deal with the house when the tv is on and such...

Thank you for the suggestions

Thank you for the suggestions. I am heading to the store today to get some fun workout videos that the kids can do with me and see how that goes. I also did cut up some fruits and veggies and it makes it a lot easier to grab a little bite while I am getting the kids food ready.

It is suprising how the little things can make a difference and just knowing others are going through the same thing can be very motivating.

Yes I forgot to mention that I do Yoga and my youngest does that with me and I also do Billy Blanks Boot Camp that she loves and constantly begs me to do...so it can be done...ya just gotta find what works best for you and do it the best you can...

I'm not quite that busy.

I have a one year old and I work 25 hrs a week outside of the home.

Exercising needs to be a priority. Right up there with eating and taking care of your kids. Exercising in a round about way is taking care of your kids.

So even if you get 10 minutes of dancing around the living room to the Wiggles, you are getting exercise. Sneak in ways that involve your kids through out the day. Turn on some music and dance while you wash the dishes and vacuum (which I can't do as it terrifies my daughter).
