Toning stomach and eating ?

If someone cal help me I 'm 21 years old and want to tone the stomach for abs, i know you have to eat right and i read you can what you want as long as its healthy, can someone tell me what kind of foods to eat ??
 
Hi Bat912...while no one can really tell you what kinds of food to eat...its fortunately ultimately up to you to sift through the various suggestions and decide for yourself. As you read things about "eating what you want as long as its healthy"..also get to learn whats right for you..which is a much more specific and healthier approach. You are 21 in the youthful area of the ballgame. :cool: and you share goals with many others seeking to accomplish the same kind of things. However, thats not a lot to go on for further assitance in terms of answers that could be more geared to your needs. There are already many posts and info on this entire site that can give you insight into what the answers might be for your situation.

Generally speaking, these are common guidelines:

- Foods that are as close to their natural state as possible

- Lean protein (chicken, turkey)

- Fruits and Veggies

- Nuts

- Beans/Legumes

- Cottage Cheese/Yogurt

- Hemp Bread or Real Multi-Grain Breads (not the bleached stuff)

- Fish/Tuna

Hello, I'm also trying to develop abs. I was wondeirng if any of you could list some more food that I should be eating, like will cereal be any good and drinking milk and water. Also, Should i stop eating choco, pizza, drinking coke etc. If i was to do 5-6 days a week 30-35 minuts exercise, how long would it take to get these abs. anyhow thank you for the food youve listed so far. Top site. thanks alot :)
