Hello, this is my first post, so I apologize if something is wrong with it.I am 33y.o. and I have to start life anew. I am ending 16 years of unhealthy relationships. It is both liberating and scary. To be free I had to move to a different country. Now I have to find my own place in life, whereas in the past I was an appendage to my husband. I am working to open a science education courses, but to support myself, I deliver food. In this new life I got a chance to think about my health and wellbeing. I want to get in shape. To do that I decided to count calories and to go to the gym. Now I am 80.5kg BMI:27.9.(overweight) I want to get down to 60kg BMI:20.8. I am planning to loose 0.5-1kg a week.I need accountability, that is why I decided to join this community.

Hello & welcome to the forum. There is nothing wrong with your post. This is your diary & your space. Well done taking a major step to regaining control of your life. We'll provide you with support. Try not to be in too big a rush to lose weight. The slower you lose it, the more sustainable that loss will be, long-term. Be kind to yourself. Welcome to your new life & a clean slate :)

Thank you

Hi Tomato and welcome! Mad respect for taking life into your own hands and I hope you´re safe. Change is often scary but soon the new won´t be as new anymore and you´ll have the comfort of habit again. Trying to make those new habits healthier ones sounds like a good idea to me, but like Cate said: be kind to yourself. You don´t have to be perfect to be good enough.

Thank you for the support, I suppose I will take it one step at a time
