to eat or not to eat?!?

I keep reading different things on working out before you eat....Some say to work out before you eat anything for optimal weight loss and others say not to because your body will use muscle for fuel....which is true? Thanks:confused:

Weight training is NOT good to do on an empty stomach however as long as your diet is in tune, cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, can be very effective for fat loss.

This is a hot debated issue so some may choose to disagree however I am a big fan of it and have tried and tested it on myself with very good results.

I too believe fasted cardio to work, I'm just usually too lazy to do it. I try to at weekends when I have fewer time constraints but, I've only been succesful once so far! lol

im not sure i could workout on a empty stomach but willing to try anything lol i normally have 2 weetabix with skimmed milk before i go,but might give it a go

Thanks....I think i might stick to something really light then...I have noticed after I get off the treadmill or the eliptical on an empty stomach I feel dizzy....

I try to go first thing in the morning before I eat. My motivation to finish is breakfast when I get home, and after doing so much cardio, I don't feel like pigging out!

I dont know bout scientific explanations, but I dont feel good when I workout on an empty stomach and thars what matters

maf is right. If you don't feel comfortable working out on an empty stomach then don't do it. It works for me so that's what I do. I know it's not for everyone though.

Cardio on an empty stomach works for some people, and not for others. I know that it makes no difference for me except that i have more energy during the day and feel more alive, but im really tired the next day lol.

You may "see" a difference, but I don't think it's optimal. As someone mentioned above... this is a HUGELY debated topic in the fitness industry. So until more conclusive evidence pops out... do what feels best for you.

if you realy want to lost fats liek crazy do cardio with some good supp on empty stomack! and cardio after workout too
