Dear A Healthy, Slimmer, Happy Me:
I’m writing to you now, in hopes that when you look back and read this, you would have already have became a better you. Today is December 31, 2009. The last day of the year…remember in December 31, 2008? When you vowed to finally loose it all? To work out, eat right and be stress free? Gee, what the hell happen? lol and I’m sure that made you laugh, but here is something that won’t. December 31, 2007 you made the exact same vow and you did in 2006, 2005, and 2004. That’s five years of broken promises, promises that you didn’t make to others, but promises that you made to yourself, promises that should have been kept because your life depended it on it. You let yourself down not just for five years, but for nearly two decades. And you know what I’m talking about. Those nights you spent crying, how hurt you felt when all your friends got complements and dates but you didn’t, those horrible doctor visit filled with on bad news. Yea…tough to think about and I hope you’ll never have to relive them. This has been a completely new year for you right? Because you allowed yourself to do a 180 and transform into the beautiful person that you deserve to be. Remember this day, because unlike all of those other days, you chose today to turn your life around. Today you’ve set a goal for yourself. A goal that I know you have achieved.
