Think of eating as like building a fire - Use small twigs to keep the fire burning (twigs = small calories throughout the day keeping your metabolism revved). If you throw a big log on top of the fire (one big meal) you aren't helping the fire get hotter, it could actually overwhelm it and put it out. Twigs are good, logs not so good.
