Time for change

Hi All,

I knew changes were needed when my friends started nicknaming me "Fatman". Although not too large I do struggle to keep up with most of them.

So it's time for change. I can't run due to bad knees but I seem to be ok with cycling. To keep motivated i've set my first goal of competing in the New Zealand Icebreaker Motatapu moubntain bike ride. Will be hard work considering my lack of fitness and skills but I know in my heart i'm good for it if I train properly.

Wish me luck on my journey and i'll keep you posted... and if you don't mind ask alot of questions along the way.

That's an awesome goal. Congratulations and hello! How about the elliptical? I have bad knees too and it doesn't hurt my joints at all.
