this sucks so bad...plz help

well i just got a comment in my diary that i am doing the 5x5 wrong because i did not start easy for the first 3 weeks. now i dont know what to do and im not sure i want to continue on this same plan...****. I am thinking about just starting over on a different plan but i need some professional guidance.
: ( what should i do.

most routines have a start up period where you ramp up to the real program after a week or two. mostly to avoid you killing your muscles with the sudden change...especially for newcomers.

just stay on it, and next time, read everything, 3x, before you begin.

the dual factor or single factor? are you talking about bill starrs? if its the single factor, just drop down the weight a bit and work it up again.

If you're a beginner you'll see solid gains almost whatever you do. I've been working out for only 5 months doing 2~5 sets (mostly 3x8~10) depending on how I'm feeling that day and I'm very happy with the progress I've made. Just read the posts on the board and do what other knowledgeable people are doing. It might not be the theoretically best program for you but you should still do very well and if you're not doing well, then you can think about switching. Have you been seeing any gains?

well...yes i used to be able to fit my two hands around my leg (yikes...) and now i am not even close. i guess i have seen gains especially in my legs and my bench and squats increased by 10-15 lbs along with my mil. press.

Im thinking about switching to a 3x8 routine doing all compound exercises in a full body manner. does anyone think i should switch kuz i feel i should. My main goal is hypertrophy but i want to be strong too so i think 8 reps are better.
