Hi
I've decided to get a bit closer to being in shape and after a couple of gym sign ups and plans to eat healthier over the last year I'm hoping this time is the one. I'm 6ft 2 and 12.5 stone, or 175 pounds. Not worryingly overweight but I just want to get rid of a little flab while getting generally fitter. I just quit smoking 2 months ago and that's sort of spurred me on, I guess it seems there's nothing stopping me from being able to do normal activity's for normal amounts of time without my lungs collapsing now, or should be at least
I decided I have to go to the gym every day, even if I don't do much. Purely because if I have to go every day then there's no excuse to skip a day. Over the last two weeks I've Managed to train a specific area without feeling to hard done by next time round. So diet wise I've read up lots and I'm going to go with the 5 smaller meals a day thing but I wanted to check because I feel like I'm eating when I'm not really hungry. I've done this for a week now...
7:30 - 2 brown toast with 3 eggs scrambled
10:30 - small salad with chicken, lettuce, red cabbage and carrot
13:00 - average serving of brown rice with courgette mushrooms
16:00 Same small salad and some cashews
18:00 GYM for around 80 min
20:00 either chicken breast/turkey and 150g cut of beef with veg
Writing that down it seems like loads and to be honest eating it has been strange. I never feel full, never feel hungry. I suppose my question is, is that too much? Do I have to weigh everything I eat?
I feel like I can deal with less food it's just that I've had it in my head that this is the plan and I've been carrying on in the hope that eating this way combined with a gym session every weekday is some kind of recipe for success
Any help much appreciated, I do realise that was a bit of a rant so I'm thankful if you got this far
