hey everybody...my name is josh..and im 16 years old weighing at 250 pounds and im 5'8:eek: today is my very first diet day!..and ive had a salad so far..and im still starving!:(

and by the way..the name means 14 bars

Glad to hear your are taking some positive steps in your life at an young age!

Dieting 101

It's not dieting . . . lol (it's a life style change . .:p )

Eating healthy isn't all salads and vegetables.

I think it's called sparkpeople.com or something like that. You need to find out what calorie range you should be aiming for. And then you will know what you are allowed to eat in a day.

This means keeping track of what you eat and also checking caloric levels of food (and their portions too!)

You'll probably be surprised at how much and what you can eat!! It's so much easier to stick with when you are actually allowed to eat!!

Once you get the numbers worked out, the rest should be fairly easy with a bump here and there. That's what we are here for!

Start a journal and let the encouragement flood in!!
