The workplace challenge

I wasn't really sure where to post this.

I just started working about 3 weeks ago. One of my co-workers is always bringing in food for us and it's very tempting. (for instance pastries, french vanilla coffee, or chicken with roti). I don't know what to do or say if she does (I don't want to offend her because she would be like there's food there or she will tell me to not bring lunch the next day because she's going to bring something for everyone).Thankfully the other day when I started work later than everyone else all the pastries were done because I honestly thought I would cave if they weren't

She's always talking about losing weight. She wants to loose like 15 pounds and she has no problem telling everyone her current weight or how much she lost. She's on the L.A Weight loss plan. The thing I don't understand is that if she's tryting to lose weight why is she bringing in all these unhealthy things for us to eat? When she does bring them I don't really know what to tell her. I don't want to tell her that I'm on a diet.

Any suggestions?

Just because they're there -doesn't mean you have to eat them...

What she does is her business - what you do is yours...

Maleficent is right, part of making healthy choices is being able to ignore those temptations. She is getting some kind of self gratification doing this, and the fact that it seems opposite of what she should be doing to lose that last 15 pounds is her issue. We always have cookies and cake at our work, and I have to simply ignore them. If she tells you to not bother bringing lunch cuz she is bringing stuff for everyone, tell her "thanks so much for the offer, but I am going to have to say no thanks"

yeah I agree. I shouldn't let what she does be the cause of my derail.

I was also thinking that she's trying to eat the foods that she's not suppose to eat vicariously through her fellow employees. I know it sounds odd but it's a thought.

actually doesn't sound that odd to me, lol. She is getting satisfaction from feeding others instead of herself. (I'm only guessing of course)
