The value of rest days for weight loss and strength?

Lately I have been drawn to group classes at my gym, including pump, boxercise and body combat.

I wish to ride the motivation train for as long as it will carry me and I find myself doing a class both in the morning AND in the evening.

My quesion is about rest periods. I understand how important rest periods are in regards weight lifting, but I was wondering how they might figure in regards the type of strength/weight loss classes I am participating in?

In my current frame of mind I would love to do two classes a day from Monday to Friday - but is that counter-productive?

In a related question, is it ok for me to do a pump class EVERY day, or might that also be counter-productive?

Thanks heaps.

2 classes for 5 days a week might burn you out faster than you think. I know how you feel though. When I get on the motivational train I can't get enough of fitness and training. But when it wears off, I can hardly move. If I were you, I'd do 3-4 days and see how you feel the next week with a weekend of rest in between.
