The Start of My New Life.

Hello everyone!
I just registered today because I am starting my weight loss journey again and no one around me understands. My family and friends are all very thin, me on the other hand....not so much.
I'll start with a little about myself.

My name is Tatyanna but everyone calls me Taty (tah-dee).
I'm 17 years old and recently graduated number 9 in my class of 500 students. I am on my way to The Ohio State University with a full tuition scholarship, and I know no one there or anyone that's going there.

Despite all those good things, I am fat. I'm about 5'5'', and I weigh 203.5 pounds.

Now, 2 years ago I started working out and eating healthy. My starting weight was 235, and I got all the way down to 180. Unfortunately, I was borderline anorexic and a binge eater. And I was that way until September of 2010 when my doctor told me my organs were going to shut down because I wasn't absorbing vitamins or any sort of nutrition. Needless to say, I got my act together, but I overdid it. I blew up to 210 pounds and my self esteem did a nosedive.

My college move in day is September 15, 2011 and I want to be 175-180 again. My ultimate goal is 165, but for short term, 175 is good for me.

I started working out two days ago and realized I needed motivation and thinspiration to get me going harder and avoid being anorexic =)

So...here we go.

Current weight....203.5 pounds
Pants size....a tight 14, loose 15
Goal for College....175-180 pounds
Current date.....July 19th
Move in date....September 15th
Gosh im so excited lol.

Here's what I've done so far. Yesterday I jogged/walked 5 miles on a trail next to my house. It was HOTTER THAN HELL and there were lots of hills.
I did it once at 9 am and again around 6:30 pm so 10 miles all together. I have an iphone so my Nike+GPS app says i burned 1000 calories. Add that to the calories my body usually burns with normal activity and the unnatural amount of sweating that I do at my job, i'd say about 1200 calories burned.

Now, I still barely eat anything and I know I can't lose weight without boosting my metabolism. So today I started. I ate carrot and celery sticks, two times, about 4 hours apart. An egg and whole wheat toast for breakfast and a turkey sandwich from Panera Bread (only 210 calories!). I also had 15 Quaker Quakes (mini rice cakes, only 110 calories per serving, which was 15). My body was really sore from yesterday so today I did two reps of 30 weights (I lifted them, about 15 pounds...yeah i'm weak lol) and I did 50 crunches. I plan to do 50 more before bed.

So far so good.

I know I NEED to eat more, but i'm so scared of binging...but then I get scared of becoming aneroxic and it leaves me confused all day. I played basketball from 4th-9th grade so don't be concerned about the amount of running I did the first day, I was tired and I definitely feel the burn but I made sure to stay hydrated and not kill myself.

I know I wrote a lot, thanks for reading. Please, respond with your own stories/comments/pics/thinspirations etc. I'm willing to listen and I can't wait to tell you all about my daily activity.

Well welcome and I hope this forum is the support you need to get healthy...you are young enough to make the changes that will keep you happy and healthy for the rest of your life..slow and steady!! you take your time and we will be here to cheer you on!! :)

Hi Taty!

Your weight fluctuations are very similar to mine. I was up to about 220, dropped to 180 and I went back up to 195 before I started my diary here just 2-3 weeks ago.

Looks like you have the exercise part down which is great, but you definitely have to not avoid eating! Try eating fruits and veggies, they are some of the highest sources of nutrients with the lowest calories. I know fruits are sweet, but check out the calories online and hopefully that can be a staple of your diet!

Good luck and welcome to the forums!

Ken

Thank you so much for the support and advice!
I woke up around 8 am and did a 4.3 mile bike ride, the terrain was a little rough, gravels and hills but i pushed through. Burned about 300 calories doing that, maybe more maybe less.

For breakfast I had a chocolate peanut butter PowerBar...210 Calories and 10g of protein, it was delicious and satisfied my cravings.

Drank about 4 bottles of water then moved on to a pilates workout that used cardio to tone the upper body, including upper and lower abs!

Lunch consisted of tuna on 1 piece of toasted wheat bread, half an apple, 3 carrot sticks, 3 celery sticks and a low sodium baby dill pickle. Drank about 2 bottles of water with this.

I had a snack like an hour and a half later (my metabolism must be really boosting because I am never hungry). Kettle Corn Quaker Quakes, only 10, less than 110 calories.

Then I just had the best snack over. Frozen portable yoghurt (GO-gurt). There's only 70-80 calories per tube plus 2g of protein, you can't beat that! In order to make me feel fuller and make it last longer, I froze it. And i'm not going to lie.....it was HEAVEN!

i plan to eat some fruit (grapes or apples) before in about an hour or 2.
Around 6pm Ill be doing some toning. Just lifting light weights and some situps and pushups.

Dinner will probably be a grilled chicken breast, seasoned with lemon pepper and a huge salad to go under it.

I felt really energized today. My muscles are sore but I know that is because I am working my ass off.

Hope everyone else's days were as good as mine!
