Hi, I just registered after lurking for a while. I'm 27 years old and just started a diet on sept 2. I'm doing herbalife right now although I can honestly say I'm not loving it. I figure I'll give it a while more, its a nice jump start and all, but I think I can manage without that crutch. I have a ways to go, I'm 230 lbs right now after a 4 lbs loss this week. My ideal weight is 115lbs because I"m 5'0", so yeah, imagine a beach ball and then put a face on it and you have me. What really got me motivated to get rid of this weight was a visit to a cardiologist in May due to chest pains. It turned out to not be anything serious but seeing that pound of fat on his desk...lol...and the disapproving look in his eye when I said I hadn't dieted before made me change my mind about being fat and happy.
I'm a pretty fit person. I have a 4 year old son and we run and play and swim so I'm not lazy, just enjoying way to much of the wrong foods for far too long. my weight problems started when I was a teenager and I lost alot of weight in college but when I got pregnant with my son I literally let myself go. So, here I am, ready to get back into shape.
