The naked and embarrassing truth...

I'm 23 years old - i just graduated from university and moved to a big new city with my boyfriend. i've struggled with a weight problem my entire life and i'm sick of it. I'm not entirely sure how much i weight - i'm going to buy a scale today... but i'm around 5'10"-5'11", and i think i'm around 250lbs. i'm sick of my weight problem stopping me from being the amazing person that i know i can be. i would like to lose 70lbs. that's why i turned to this site - who better to give you adivce and support you than people who understand what you're going through.

i'm really excited about taking this step and committing to making a change. around 2 years ago i started a health kick and lost around 60lbs. that brought me down to around 230lbs. i'm in the process of gaining it back and i want to stop my weight gain in its tracks. no more yo-yo dieting, no more diasppointing fad diets. it's time for a change.

anyone starting this week who'd like to track their progress with me?

All I can say is good luck! You have proven to yourself that you can do it, which can inspire you to go even further! Just a small tip that I've learnt when doing a bit of exercise!

The treadmill is the most boring workout machine ever! And regretfully that is what I am stuck with. But there is a way around this, and that is to put a TV IN FRONT of you (not to the side, it's very hard to look left and go forward). Then you can just chuck on a DVD or a video, and watch that. I would reccomend a music video, because that is a bit more interesting than the opera or cooking shows (c'mon people!)...

And if you need a great idea on a music DVD, I shall reccomend GREEN DAY!... that is because I am a huge fan of them of course :p

Good luck my friend, and I really do hope that you achieve that 70lb loss!

I believe in you! Best of luck! Work hard and the results will come easily!

We are all here all the way.

okay so it's a fair bit worse than i initially thought... i just bought a scale... and i just weighed in at 268lbs.. WOW... very depressing indeed - brought a tear or two to my eye, i must admit.

so i have to upload another ticker... 90lbs it is.

Welcome Wendy!! You've come to the right place for support. Don't worry about the scale. You can fix the problem. Taking this step now is the best thing you can do for yourself!!

Hang in there - you CAN do it!!

Well Wendy, we can help you through and through.

I have a goal of losing a lot of weight too, I'd keep myself motivated by looking at myself in the mirror, And saying this is not me. You just need to stay motivated and anything is possible

I'm still keeping my diet afer 78 lbs gone. It's a lot of work, But I just won't quit!

:D

Best Wishes

Welcome! I just joined a couple of days ago. I was also slowly gaining back weight I had lost, and finally had enough. Good luck!

I'm right there with you...!

Hey! I just started the LA Weightloss Plan today....I must say it's much different, but I know it will help....costs too much money not to :) haha

Well, I'm 200 lbs now and I'm at a university. I should graduate soon and I will NOT graduate and begin my job (teaching of all things!) this size! Then again I said that for graduating from high school, too! But I really do mean it this time! I get my deposit back from LA Weightloss as soon as I loose the weight, so even if I give up, money's a great motivator :D

I feel confident that you'll loose the weight! It's great to have a support group and somebody that you're held accountable to!

Thanks so much for the support guys - I really appreciate it.

I'm heading to the gym soon... going to track my weightloss every week - weight in every Sunday. I'd love to have some of you to chat to more often... if you have msn, add me - wenny5@hotmail.com.

I need all the support I can get :)

Wendy
