For a 40+ man who wants to look after his body, who works physically hard, and who wants to be toned nicely ( not ripping with muscle ) How often should I be working out. I seem to be able to put timber on more quickly these days....I'm not a heavy eater, although I guess my diet could be greatly improved.
Currently I try and work out 3 times a week for 1 hour. I use weights, sit ups, punch bag.
I am of the opinion that our bodies need time to relax, but I'm unsure as to how much time this should be. Could I workout 4 -5 times a week or would this be counter productive? If their is a thread explaining the do's and dont's on excerising then please direct me to it, otherwise the more scientific excercisers amongst us may be able to offer some advise, thanks.
