I thought I had started a diary, but I couldn't find it, so I'm starting a new one. I've chosen the title because, as much as I would like to see my abs, after reading around, I realize that that is really difficult to do, and that its much more important that I learn to do things I can carry on throughout my life, lose weight slowly, enjoy my food and exercise, and not obsess or the numbers or small setbacks. so, without further ado, my diary.
I'd appreciate any comments on my diet and exercise, which is mostly what I'll include here. Here is today:
oatmeal made with 1/2 cup whole milk and 1 tablespoon honey
apple
salad with spinach, yellow pepper, carrots, avacado, sesame ginger dressing
steamed zucchini with lots of butter
toast with lots of butter
8 oz. whole milk raspberry yogurt
apple
scrambled eggs made with 1 1/2 tablespoons sunflower oil, 3 eggs, onions, mushrooms
8 oz. whole milk yogurt
1/2 cup walnuts and cashews
2 large dark chocolate with almonds squares (they're 75 calories each)
I think thats it. I think its going to help to see it written. Is that too much fat for one day? I guess I probably need more protein too. But does the yogurt count as a protein source?
As far as exercise goes, here's what I did:
Was on the treadmill for an hour, which is longer than I've ever done! I can't run for very long at a time, mostly because I don't enjoy it. So I walked for 10 minutes then ran for 5 minutes, 4 times every 5 or 10 minutes, and walked in between, plus walked for the last 10 minutes at the end. The machine said I burned 500+ calories. I don't know if I believe it, but I'm happy if its true.
