Been a little about the so called "Fat Gene" in the media lately and was just wondering what peoples thoughts are on this ...?

r but i can tell you that i was sure i had a 'fat gene' or 'thyroid problem' or some other reason for being fat
within reason, im sure its true, and im sure it makes all of 100 calories a day difference, but every man and his dog will claim that they have the 'fat gene' and its 'not my fault' that they are fat.
This debate has been going on for decades. Im no doctor but i can tell you that i was sure i had a 'fat gene' or 'thyroid problem' or some other reason for being fat. Anything but accepting the truth that i was shoveling in calorie laden feasts into my own mouth and killing myself![]()
My calculator says that 100 calories a day would make someone gain 10.428571428571428571428571428571 pounds per year.
So from 15 to 25 years old this would put on 104.28571428571428571428571428571 pounds
I agree with you that most people who claim to have it are just in denial, but for the people who do have it it could be serious.
